Hosted by Prince George's County Alumnae Chapter (PGCAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  The virtual event provided an low-cost, high opportunity to showcase several Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU)s.  

LIFE presented a workshop on financial options for higher education.

8th Annual POWERUP DC 2022 Conference

Hosted by: DC Health Link in partnership with the Washington Business Journal, Washington Informer, DC Chamber of Commerce, Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington, the National Association of Health Underwriters & the Small Business Brain Trust.

Topic: Accelerating Capacity to Strengthen Efficiency and Sustainability (Non-Profit Organizations and Faith Based Institutions. LIFE Speaker, Lanta Evans-Motte.

 

One of the most understated skill sets in building a strong infrastructure foundation in non-profit organizations and faith-based institutions is capacity building.  Panelists will share information about technical assistance and social media strategies to support online efforts and competencies to support, shape, and build nonprofits and faith-based organizations and to assist leaders be more effective and sustainable in their mission to enrich lives and solve intractable problems in our community.

This Zoom webinar provided an opportunity for students, parents, educators, and youth leaders to learn about HBCU athletic scholarships, recruitment, programs and associated careers.
